Nevada VINE

The Nevada Office of the Attorney General received a SAVIN (Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification) grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance to implement a Statewide automated victim notification service. Nevada VINE (Victim Information Notification Everyday) will be implemented throughout the state by the end of December 2012.

VINE Public Service Announcements (P.S.A.'s)

Once implemented, this service will allow victims to register to receive automated notifications of changes to an offender’s custody status.

Churchill County
Elko County
Esmeralda County
Eureka County
Douglas County
Humboldt County
Lander County
Lincoln County
Lyon County
Nye County
Storey County
Washoe County
White Pine County
Carson City
Mesquite Police Department
Nevada Department of Corrections

Counties/agencies that are coming soon:

Las Vegas Enforcement and Detention
Pershing County
Mineral County
Henderson Police Department
Parole Board
Parole and Probation

Clark County and North Las Vegas have separate VINE services and will be brought into the statewide service at the end of the project.

A governance committee was created in accordance with BJA’s guidelines to oversee the implementation, and its members were appointed by the Attorney General.
